Requests
All requests need to be made in writing, should be specific and concise, and identifies specifically the records wanted so they can be located quickly to determine whether they are a public record.

The request should be addressed to the Open Records Officer on the form - "Request for Inspection and/or Duplication of Public Records". Forms can be mailed or dropped off.

Approval or Denial of Requests
There are documents that contain protected information under the Right to Know Law and may not be considered to be Public Records. The Open Records Officer will contact you with a response to our request; if a denial, the reason for the denial or if more time is required for certain reasons.

Fees
Fees are required to the Township for the costs of a request as authorized by Appendix "M"" of the Township’s Codified Ordinances. These fees include but are not limited to:

  • $.25 per copy per page per side
  • $7.00 per sheet for Plan Size Copies
  • $5.00 per disc for CD Reproduction
  • $15.00 per list for Inspection Lists (Development)
  • $5.00 per certificate for Certificate of Occupancy Duplicates
  • $5.00 per certification

Inspection
If a request does not require any special handling, documents can then be reviewed at the Township Municipal Building during established business days and hours.
