One of 7 Bureaus in the township, comprised of several divisions as noted below, this Bureau oversees all aspects of construction in the township under the PA UCC and enforces all codes with respect to property maintenance including certificate of occupancy inspections; issues street opening and curb and sidewalk permits and conducts inspections of same; coordinates with contracted agents for building inspection and engineering services; enforces the zoning and subdivision and land development ordinances of the township and works closely with many boards and commissions.

This division is responsible for all PA One Call markings of township facilities, coordination with utilities for street opening permits and inspection, inspection and permitting of curb and sidewalk installations, and township infrastructure records maintenance.
This division is responsible for all inspections of new construction or alterations under the PA UCC through our third party agent, and as well all aspects of property maintenance, codes enforcement, and certificates of occupancy for sale or rental of property.
This division enforces the Whitehall Township Subdivision and Land Development regulations and oversees all new development activities in the township. Works closely with the Township engineer and the Planning Commission.
This division enforces the Whitehall Township Zoning Ordinance as it applies to all land uses and construction. Works closely with the Zoning Hearing Board.
